A UNITED BLOC OF CREATIVITY
Bloc. was built on a simple belief — that creativity thrives when individuals are free to grow.
The name Bloc represents a group united by a shared ambition. A collective of stylists, each bringing their own skills, ideas and creative perspective. Different strengths, different approaches, but working together with one common goal: to become the best we can be.
Creative direction here is guided, not restricted. We learn from each other, share ideas and push our craft forward together. When talented individuals collaborate openly, everyone grows — our team and our clients alike.
Alongside creativity, experience matters. Every visit is designed to feel relaxed, effortless and considered. A space to switch off, recharge and leave feeling confident in the hair you wear every day.
At Bloc, individuality is encouraged, creativity is shared and great hair is simply the result.
ALAN SHORT
Salon Director
It was never just about hair.
What drew me in was the culture. Creative people pushing each other forward. Ideas welcomed. Trust built through openness. A people-first environment where growth wasn’t forced, it was inspired. That belief shaped everything.
Hair became my medium, not my motive. Precision and visual instinct working together. Technical foundations meeting individuality. Living art with intention.
That philosophy is what built Bloc. - a collective of creators evolving together, guided not controlled.
Because when people thrive, the work speaks for itself.
Simone Chrichlow
Art director
My journey began in art, but I found my purpose in people.
For over 30 years, I’ve been drawn to the confidence that comes from feeling seen. Hair became my way of expressing that - especially Afro and textured hair, where strength and delicacy meet.
I listen, understand, and create styles that feel authentic. Education, growth, and community matter because empowerment starts with knowledge.
Above all, I want every client to leave feeling confident in who they already are.
Karlton Lee
Creative stylist
Hair was part of my world from the beginning. Growing up around the salon, I saw early on that it was about more than the work - it was about energy, warmth and how people felt when they walked out the door.
That stayed with me.
I believe every client deserves to feel valued and looked after. Attention to detail matters, but so does the experience. It’s the balance of creativity and care that builds trust.
I’m driven by growth - always learning, always refining - and by creating an environment where people leave feeling better than when they arrived.
So ying Yu
Senior Stylist
Creativity has always guided me.
I found my place in hair because it allows me to blend artistic vision with real connection. It’s not just about how it looks, but how it feels. The shift in confidence. The quiet transformation.
I see beauty in every texture, every tone. Colour, especially, has the power to change how someone sees themselves — and that moment of recognition is what drives me.
With every client, I aim to create something personal, something intentional. Because when someone feels confident, it shows long after they leave the chair.
JESSICA DAVIES-ROCHE
HAIR STYLIST
Hairdressing has always been a craft I’ve loved and taken pride in. I first trained alongside my uncle, who believed in me from the very beginning. That gave me confidence to keep learning and building over fifteen years of salon experience.
Working in busy salons has shaped my skills, creativity, and attention to detail. I believe in creating hair that not only looks beautiful but leaves my clients feeling confident and completely themselves.
Every clients is different and I love shaping a style that truly suits them.

I’m often the first face you see, and for me, that matters.
I believe how you’re welcomed sets the tone for everything that follows. My role is to make each visit feel effortless, calm and considered from the moment you walk through the door.
I love connecting with people and creating an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and looked after. Behind the scenes, I keep things flowing so the team can focus fully on their craft.
Creativity inspires me too. Through photography, I capture the details and moments that might otherwise be missed, celebrating the work and the confidence it creates.
For me, it’s simple. If you leave feeling valued, relaxed and excited to return, I’ve done my job.
Megan Carr
Apprentice hair stylist
I’ve always been fascinated by how much hair can change how someone feels. It’s never just about the look, it’s about the confidence behind it.
Creativity has always come naturally to me, and hair feels like the perfect balance of artistry and connection. I’m drawn to the individuality of each person and learning how to bring that out.
Starting my apprenticeship at Bloc. is an exciting step. I’m here to learn, grow and improve every day.
For me, it’s simple. If I can help someone feel more confident than when they walked in, I’m on the right path.
Phoenix Langridge
Apprentice Hair Stylist
I’ve always loved helping people feel confident, and for me, hair is such a powerful part of that.
After studying media hair and makeup, I realised I wanted to bring that creativity into everyday moments, not just the screen. Hairdressing allows me to blend artistry with real connection, finding styles that truly suit the person in front of me.
As a Level 3 apprentice at Bloc., I’m constantly learning. Being surrounded by such talented stylists pushes me to grow every day.
What matters most to me is simple. If someone leaves my chair feeling more confident than when they sat down, then I know I’m on the right path.

CANCELATION and NO SHOW APPOINTMENTS POLICY
We kindly request that you provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients who may be on our waiting list. Failure to provide the required notice may result in a non-refundable deposit being taken for future appointments. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to our cancellation policy.
patch test policy
At our salon, we prioritise your safety above all else. That's why we have a strict policy of conducting a 48-hour patch test before any colour or Nano Keratin services. This test is essential as it helps us identify any potential reactions that may occur due to various factors, such as a change in the brand of colour products used.
Different salons often stock different brands of colour products, each with its own unique set of ingredients. Therefore, it is crucial for us to ensure that the products we use during your appointment are compatible with your skin and hair. This may require some waiting time before your colour appointment, and we sincerely appreciate your patience in this matter.
We take immense pride in our craft and our commitment to keeping you safe throughout the entire process. By conducting the patch test, we can confidently provide you with the best possible service without compromising your well-being. Thank you for understanding and for choosing our salon for your hair needs.
